About this Talk
To get a book traditionally published you need a literary agent, but these days, with agents’ inboxes overflowing, standing out from the crowd can be hard to do. In this talk you’ll learn the different ways to find an agent, from cold querying to pitch contests to conferences, as well as how to research to find the right agent for you. After telling my personal agent-finding story, I’ll discuss the elements of a great submission package and what I learned from my time in the query trenches.
